Fraser and Fraser paralegals among first Chartered Paralegals
Fraser and Fraser, a leading provider of genealogical and probate research services, was one of the first organisations to support its paralegals in achieving CILEX Chartered Paralegal status.
A significant number of its case managers and case assistants were enrolled on CILEX’s pilot scheme and achieved the new title after the Privy Council approved the amendments to the CILEX Charter.
The firm said its support of Chartered Paralegal status “demonstrated an obligation to professional standards within the probate research sector”; in an industry with limited regulation, the chartered title “carries substantial credibility within the public, signifying that an individual is a regulated professional held to a stringent set of standards”.
Partner Neil Fraser said the firm was “deeply dedicated to ensuring our case managers and assistants are qualified and adhere to all relevant regulations. We maintain a strong commitment to the in-house training of our staff, which is fundamental to ensuring the professionalism and client care within our firm.”
The firm said its commitment to professional accreditation would contribute to raising the bar across the probate research industry, with Mr Fraser adding that he hoped its commitment to professional standards would “soon become the norm across the entire industry.”
