Karen Lynne Riossi

Mrs Riossi, an Associate from Buckshaft, Gloucestershire, died on 4 August 2015. She had been a legal officer with Gloucestershire County Council’s legal services department for 26 years.

John Edward Emptage

Mr Emptage, a Fellow from Surbiton, Surrey, died recently, having retired in 1992. He had worked for over 40 years in commercial property with Turner Kenneth Brown now Nabarro Nathanson.

 

Rod Gray

Mr Gray, a Fellow from Rowlands Gill, retired on 31 August 2015. He qualiÿed as a Fellow in 1981 and joined Dickinson Miller & Turnbull, now Bond Dickinson, in 1973 and after qualifying took up the position as head of costs.

Martyn Andrews

Mr Andrews recently retired at the age of 70. In 1961, at the age of 16, he started work as an office boy at a ÿve-partner ÿrm of solicitors in Luton. He gained Fellowship in the 1960s and obtained ÿve-year articles with the Dunstable Clerk to the Justices, qualifying as a solicitor in 1974. Mr Andrews states that he is eternally grateful to the Institute for the profession he has been able to follow, and sad to see government’s gradual control of courts, with reducing access to them. ‘Thank you Institute, and long may you continue.’
