A fantastic opportunity to join one of Bristol’s premier law firms as an Assistant Practice Manager within the market leading Real Estate division. The main purpose of this role is to support the Practice Manager in the provision of full line management to the Real Estate plot sales and paralegal and legal executive team across the UK offices. You will be responsible for balancing the pressures of team delivery whilst ensuring excellent client service. Duties within this role will relate to: - Day to day management of the Plot Sales team including KPI monitoring, appraisals, absences etc - Resource management i.e the allocation of work to meet client demands, team recruitment - Stakeholder management ensuring maintenance of client relationships - Working practices and project management. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate experience of managing client focused teams in a pressurised environment. A legal background is desirable but not essential. You will be a self-starter, enthusiastic and resourceful; proactive and motivated with excellent organisational skills.

As the Conveyancer you will be responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of a caseload of residential conveyancing files acting for individual clients on their purchase of a new build property. You will work within a legal unit of three conveyancers and four conveyancing assistants. The unit is supervised by a qualified lawyer or an experienced senior conveyancer, who will provide full technical support and guidance. A central technical team of qualified lawyers are also on hand to provide further technical support and training. In addition to the central and administration support provided in each unit, you will also have access to a central file opening team, a central admin support unit and a post completions team. You will work closely with your support staff to ensure the transaction progresses proficiently from file inception to exchange to completion, whilst achieving strict deadlines set within the purchase agreement between your client and the developer. You will be responsible for creating rapport with your client as well as building, developing and maintaining relationships with new build developers.
