Revised exceptional funding guidance from LAA

The Legal Aid Agency published revised guidance and forms for clients and providers on civil legal aid funding in non-inquest cases in November 2015. The guidance takes into account IS v Director of Legal Aid Casework and the Lord Chancellor [2015] EWHC 1965 (Admin).

All change in the Queen’s Bench Division

From January 2016, Mr Justice Cranston will succeed Mr Justice Ouseley as judge in charge of the Administrative Court.

From January 2016, Mr Justice Coulson will assume responsibility as the Administrative Court liaison judge for the Western and Midland circuits.

From January 2016, Mr Justice Lewis will assume responsibility as the Administrative Court liaison judge for Wales.

From November 2015, Mrs Justice Patterson succeeded Lord Justice Lindblom as planning liaison judge.

Review of coroner reforms

This review aims to find out whether coroner reforms under the Coroners and Justice Act 2009 are operating as planned and whether there have been any unintended consequences. The consultation closes on 10 December 2015.
